KG Consulting was founded and is led by Kent Grotkjaer, whose career in furniture manufacturing began in Denmark in 1985. He started as an apprentice wood machinist and earned his Danish Wood Machinist qualification in 1988.
Over more than 40 years, Kent has built hands-on production, manufacturing, quality-control and senior management experience across Europe and Asia. This technical foundation allows KG Consulting to assess furniture based on how it is actually designed and manufactured—not simply against a generic inspection checklist.
Today, Kent remains directly involved in KG Consulting’s work in Indonesia, establishing inspection standards, guiding the QC team and providing buyers with clear, commercially informed recommendations before shipment approval.
